Gratefulness
Gardening is one thing that I find sacred. Digging in the soil, planting, dividing, caring for my plants daily connects me to the miracle that is Nature. To see new growth from dead-looking plants, and even to see how insects (pests, some would say) use plants for food, for incubators for their progeny, as camouflage, and to help pollenate other plants is a joy and a blessing to behold. I find the sacred in Nature.
In the past week I’ve joined a ZOOM bookclub meeting, What’s App to talk with a friend in New Zealand, and worn a mask to the grocery store. I’m trying to embrace change as I think a multitude of things will change because of Covid-19.
