We are choosing a new tenant for our home. If / as we root in kindness for ourselves, prospective tenants and the planet, I pray we are able to offer a gentle experience and a safe, quiet, welcoming home for one person – who will also respect, appreciate our kindness and not take it or us for granted. Affordable housing in our city is scarce and competitive.
The leaves and stems outside my home are showing bits of red, and endless gradations and patterns of fall colour. They remind me of the inner and outer season of life I am in, and invite me to surrender, let go, commit, relax into and celebrate the journey …
I would love to feel more connection with the ancestors, for guidance, companionship, wisdom, laughter, ease and joy …
My life experiences and spiritual life are intertwined, perhaps like a Celtic knot with a series of threads woven together. As the dust of life settles, the key threads are emerging as clear, resilient, vibrant and strong. I am humbled and grateful.
Inner and outer peace and sustainability for many generations to come! …
I sat looking up at a tree canopy today, and wondered how it would answer this question. It is very much rooted and connected with a small village of trees in it’s midst. One tree offers a seemingly endless, hopeful scattering of pine cones. Others have early signs of red stems and leaves, as they begin their fall progression.
For the most part each tree, in it’s own way, seems alive, well, living today to the fullest, and quietly supporting it’s neighbours. Perhaps that is...
For the most part each tree, in it’s own way, seems alive, well, living today to the fullest, and quietly supporting it’s neighbours. Perhaps that is enough, trusting that today well lived is a more than generous offering to the future ..
May all beings be safe.
May all beings be happy and whole
May all beings be healthy and strong
May all beings live with dignity, grace, ease and joy!
letting my unconscious mind run the show, and forgetting to pause, check in, course correct …
This moment and day … 🙏🏻🐌🌱
… by slowing down, pausing, and taking in the beauty and goodness, and breathing out gratefulness and kindness ….
As I practice self-respect, rooting in, clarifying and returning to my own values (daily!), I am able to show respect for others and the Earth. I am inspired by a favourite quote from Georgia O’keefe ‘It takes a kind of a nerve, and a lot of hard, hard work!’
Showing up and being fully present without judgement helps too. 🌞🐌🌱
inner peace …
Carol, Thank you so much for sharing this. You have provided a beautiful God Spot to begin and face the day… 🙏🏻
Dusty Su, I have not seen you checking in yet today. Praying for your safety, and great ease as you transition to the best possible living situation for your well-being. I do hope that these two women offer a safe and healthy home for you – and if not, that it leads quickly to something even better for you. Warmly, KC
Thanks Jess. 🙂
I’m in for reading your book as well Howie.
Also would love to read any smaller piece if you start with baby steps! I am guessing that your Uber days may offer smaller moments for writing, as well as the inner stillness you so beautifully name …
Thanks Don. I really appreciate your reflection as well. Kindness in each moment. How good is that! Best Friday wishes! Warmly, KC
Thanks Regina. Yes! 🙏🏻
Thanks Antoinette. Wishing you another beautiful day of magnificent moments! 🙏🏻🐌🌺. Warmly, KC
‘Respect is freely given, yet trust is earned’. Thank you Cathie. That is such a helpful and healthy distinction!
