Gratefulness
Sitting in meditation and contemplation with the Word For the Day & reading responses to the question set the tone of my day. Looking out my window & observing the blueness of the sky, the different hues of green places me with the Sacred. Thank you all. ???
Within this past week I posted my reflections on the daily question for the first time. I am grateful I somehow stumbled upon this site a couple of years ago and started journaling to the daily question. Some how have felt the collective wisdom I have found here even more comforting at this time of our lives. May the Universe continue to.bless us all with this virtual companionship.???
Although I have come to enjoy my solitude it is nice our family, our Ohana as we call it in Hawaii, draws ever closer in spirit, emotionally, & intellectually. We text, talk on the phone, look out for each other tho keeping our social distancing. Who could have ever imagined such a pandemic? I am a retired RN so really pray my colleagues on the front lines. “May every one be safe.”. Staying safe has taken on a whole more urgent meaning.???
I do not need to wake up to “monkey mind” & chaos. I can take the time to take slow deep breaths, focus in on contemplation, meditation, exercise & get outdoors even if it is only on my small Lanai. Buddhist prayer on a silver bracelet I have. Serves as a reminder of wha...

Gratefulness keeps me on a more positive path through life. It helps me when I’m down reminding me to think of my blessings. Stay safe and well in this uncertain time. ????
Ohana… family… not only ties by blood but by unconditional love, empathy, community outside of our physical selves. The divine spirit we give & receive in community, connection here & in other social circles surely helping me keep more on an even, balanced journey.??
Gratefulness reminds me to count my blessings. Remember the lyrics “when I’m worried & I can’t sleep….”. Great song anytime. BTW. Today is “National Look for.a Rainbow Day.”. The rainbow cross-culturally is.a symbol of HOPE!!! Happy rainbow hunting everyone. ???
