Gratefulness
The irony of this being today’s topic honestly makes me laugh. I’ll be 40 in a month and I’m just now starting a career. Its scary but exciting. And I know I still have so much left to give the world. So I’m grateful for not just knowing that, but finally doing something to where I can feel useful. The irony of this being today’s topic honestly makes me laugh. I’ll be 40 in a month and I’m just now starting a career. Its scary but exciting. And I know I still have so much left to give the world. So I’m grateful for not just knowing that, but finally doing something to where I can feel useful. I’m grateful just to be here after the life I’ve lived. So many others from my circle are dead and gone. My own baby sister included. So, I suppose I’m lucky to have woken up with my back hurting for no apparent reason this morning. And I’m grateful for the lessons I’m learning at this point in life.
Being around the people I love. When everyone is comfortable being themselves and theres a genuine feel good vibe.
A child’s laughter. Or anyone’s laughter to be honest. Watching others succeed and that light that shines in their eyes. Seeing compassion, and acts of kindness. Witnessing people awaken to their purpose. Growth, it is happening.
The ability to heal within myself. What an amazing gift/tool we have built right in us.
I have recently started the process of forgiving myself. Including apologizing to my inner child. Its difficult. But I know guilt and shame are hindering my growth. I’ve hurt those closest to me because of the actions I’ve made. I don’t feel “I’m sorry” will quite cover it, so I’m hoping that action and growth will allow those words to have more meaning when the time comes for them.
