A whole lot of stuff! Lots of paper. Also clothes and a ton of personal and professional stuff from the past. Perfectionism, judgement and harsh criticism, tired old beliefs, thoughts and stories that are no longer useful. Time to let it all go …
I can appreciate the splendour and gift of being alive to live this day fully and stay open to beauty, possibility and connection on the path …
Thank you for this question and community. 🌞🙏🏻🐌
I will go with Ose – generosity is giving freely from my heart, as best as I am able 🌞🙏🏻🌱…
Connection. Courage. Chutzpah. Contribution. Commitment. Kindness 🙏🏻🐌🌱…
My own home, my family home, my brother’s home.
I am inspired by people with a seemingly unstoppable ability to keep showing up to do and be the best they can no matter what. It isn’t that their best is a big or complicated deal, but that they are very clear on what it is and they keep showing up and doing it in their best human way no matter what.
Famous people include Alice Walker, Georgia O’Keefe, Maya Angelou, Helen Keller, Anne Frank… Dear to me people include my Aunt, father and dear friend S.
To be a channel of peace …
I am very grateful for the voices of compassion, kindness, belonging, acceptance of self and other, understanding, patience, forgiveness, tolerance, beauty, spaciousness, hope, peace, joy and love. I’m sure there are many more!
I am also grateful for all the voices, energies and people who companion, support, guide, and at times force me to listen, hear and honour these voices, when / as I struggle to hear them myself.
‘All I really need is a song in my heart, food in my belly, and love in my family’. Raffi, well-loved Children’s singer/ songwriter.
My family and close friends. Also my relationship with the great Mystery, which is always there when / as I take the time to slow down, be quiet, pay attention and listen.
Peaceful and calm, grounded and connected …
Seeing my Mom just after she died. She looked radiant and peaceful. It was a true blessing that will stay with me for a very long time.
Dear Kristi, Thank you so much for this helpful post! Your words point to a simple, clear and affirming path. It feels like a big and challenging project to learn these practices. I appreciate your pairing mindfulness with compassion and gratefulness. Some of those mind trains need a whole lot of patience and kindness to change course. Sincere thanks for this and all that you and the gratefulness team share so generously!
Thanks Ose. Beautiful.
