Gratefulness
Complaining digs us deeper into our emotional ruts. Humor, compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude are the 4-wheel drive of the joyful heart.
Color me grateful; I’m a really fortunate guy! My wife and I are both employed; we have savings, a roof over our heads, shoddy as it may be; a half acre, and a couple of brand-spanking-new Subarus in the drive. We have access to plenty of nutritious organic food. We have friends and maintain social networks throughout the pandemic. Diabetes and the beltway’s ubiquitous “golden handcuffs” are, really, our limiting factors. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
As the Penzey’s spice sticker says, “Love people, cook them tasty food”
I’m beginning to reap the damage of chronically high blood glucose, teeth and gums really taking the hit currently. It means that taking care of myself is going to be the full time, “no bs, no phoning it in” focus of my remaining time here – Family, Health, & Home. I feel like I’m too young to get old!
I don’t tend anxiety. I demolish it. Schedule 1 assumes a substance has no medicinal value and, yet, a single 4gram dose of dried Psilocybe cubensis can allay anxiety for weeks and months, afterward. With the right attitude and focus, Santos Niños helps to safely explore and heal trauma from the past, as well.
The human assemblage point shifts and, perhaps, some latent and entrenched expectations have been decimated to bring alternate perspectives and unimagined possibilities into focus. What is it that brings about “fresh eyes”? Facts change, truth is subjective, and belief is an impediment to an open mind.
These witches show up at Mosherosa for each and every full moon as long as I keep choppin’ and stackin’ the wood for their fires! I’m sorry, but community for me is personal, immediate, and fairly intimate. Pass the blunt, for everything else is fecesbook
Life doesn’t happen to us but, rather, through us. . . It’s not a problem until it’s a crisis. Type 1 insulin dependent latent autoimmune diabetes in adults is a cure for PTSD.
Before enlightenment: stock shelves, carry groceries After enlightenment: stock shelves and carry groceries for the myriad faces of God.
The divinity in all things becomes available when we wake up grateful
The magnificent Now is an endless moment of wonder; not always kind, gentle, or beautiful, I often try to suss out the subtle truth behind the symbol. I wonder what lesson the moment offers to teach. Admittedly, I sometimes wonder why I still bother
The flavors of my life are brought forward in the relationships I cultivate. Not possessions, not status or prestige; relationships are the primary ingredient of a life worth sullying the dishes for. Let’s break out the “good” china!
My job isn’t merely to hustle groceries, on and off the shelves and out to people’s cars. What I actually do is to serve the myriad faces of God.
My interpretation of the story of Jesus is, itself, a parable of how an average human (yes, average) sacrificed his ego only to discover his own divinity, the Christ within. My interpretation of the story of Jesus is, itself, a parable of how an average human (yes, average) sacrificed his ego only to discover his own divinity, the Christ within. My suspicion is that the bible has been heavily edited throughout its history in the interest of placing that power beyond the reach of the average person and keep us focused on external salvation. . . stealing candy from babies. What if the Christ were revealed in the mirrors of average people everyday and, yet, we seldom recognize or give proper credence to our own divinity?
Each of us is a character in this collaborative dreamscape, here to learn and to teach, to add our chapter as an author of our collective drama, either as a protagonist or antagonist, and shape the “world” as we know it. Sometimes another’s absolute best is their capacity for indifference, malice, or evil. My assumption for us all would be that, regardless of the role we play, that we have the potential to become more conscious and aware of how our presence impacts the experience of oth...

Relinquishing anger is presently the focus of my life, to purge an entrenched generational venom. What we heal in ourselves is what we heal for our ancestors and, more importantly, frees our children and their children from corrosive thought forms that degrade health and destroy relationships. Godspeed!
Patience is the greater part of wisdom. Given a long enough interval, we’re shown that everything works out over time.
Has diabetes brought out the best in me, or has it simply cleared the path of distractions that kept me busy with self service rather than self care? It inspires me to serve others rather than stay in competition to them. Diabetes has shown me that everything I do for myself will ultimately fail and that the relationships we develop are the only lasting and meaningful creations of our collaborative dreamscape, the highest and genuine value within this bewildering symbolic system of energy tra...

Healing the dental work I had done yesterday, food will be a touchy subject for me in the coming days.
Individually, yes (it’s called choice and your choices affect everything). Collectively, Zenith – ABSOLUTELY!
I always give a shoutout to gratefulness.org on the inferior and mentally corrosive, but popular, social medium
I’ve been chopping lots of wood, lately, Mica!
I’ve noticed the polarization that we’re currently going through as a nation mostly in the rightward shift in my father’s political outlook. This is an example of what I constantly refer to when I describe people in the deep trance state of ego identification. In that, media is mind control. I make it a practice of recognizing that a person’s politics is not who they are, it’s what they think; reminding myself it’s what they’ve been conditioned to bel...

I will not allow pernicious thought forms to degrade my authentic relationships!
