Gratefulness
Self reflection, and reflecting back on my progress over the whole year. I admit that this is a really hard question for me to answer. Savouring each thing that I have.
Monty Python and Star Trek. The awe-inspiring landscape of my home, Talking to my dearest two friends. Reminding myself of what the arts and literature mean to me, and reminding myself of what I have accomplished so far in relation to my ill health. A cup of English breakfast tea with dessert, reminding me that the little, pleasurable, most trivial things are pearls in time.
The existence of all of the children in my life and their boundless creativity and insight, my emotional support cat who I love unconditionally.
Good music from my childhood, music that I have just discovered, wonderful visual art and crisp, sunny spring days.
Feeling the warmth of my cats as I cuddle them makes my heart sing. Their lives are precious and our symbiotic relationship proves to me there is harmony in the world.
Thank you for sharing. I, too, love songs from my youth and croissants.
