Gratefulness
Grateful in the moment.
I am learning acceptance intolerance and perseverance. It is teaching me to be patient, to trust in God and to focus on the many things in my life that I am grateful to God for being blessed with.
For all the many gifts I have to be grateful for today I will offer an act of charity in atonement for my gratitude of a loving family, a beautiful home, wonderful friends and family,, I’m a blessing of my church community. The following is the prayer that Saint Francis left us set reminder slot a peaceful heart is the goal of our faith while on Eartt. instrument of your peace: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. The following is the prayer that Saint Francis left us set reminder slot a peaceful heart is the goal of our faith while on Eartt. instrument of your peace: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Ehere there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
I, like Kevin keep a stash in my car for the homeless but I give them protein bars instead of money. As someone once said to me, when you get your money at work they don’t ask you what you’re going to do with it before they give it to you do they? If someone is in need our response is generosity and charity. We will be judged on our response. I give them protein bars because I know it’s at least half a meal. I can’t carry fresh vegetables and fruit.
A god-given opportunity to express my forgiveness by contacting very good friend who betrayed my trust years ago! It can’t be a coincidence that I learned two weeks ago I would be in Maryland on business next week. I never go unless called to go by my employer. On Tuesday of this week I learned that he had been diagnosed with cancer throughout his body. His likelihood of survival given the circumstances is minimal. The foundations of my faith or unconditional love and unconditional forg...

On Tuesday of this week I learned that he had been diagnosed with cancer throughout his body. His likelihood of survival given the circumstances is minimal. The foundations of my faith or unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness. I appreciate this God given opportunity to continue to fortify that Foundation of my spiritual life.
Envy is my Compass as to having lost sight of gratitude for the many gifts I have been granted. Envy and jealousy are most often rooted in Pride like many other aspects of our concupiscence. Pride is driven by the ego I’m the evil one feeds on our ego to separate us from God I’m Grace. When Envy comes to mind I pray for Union with God.
Being immersed in nature, singing with the choir or being accompanied by piano and singing solo. The loving embrace of my wife. Looking at my two boys and knowing that I have succeeded in my goal of raising two gentlemen who will make a contribution to this world in charity and love.
How my prayer life is truly leading me through life. Am I living a one minded life? A life whose primary intent is to serve God and others? How often am I making the best use of my time in that objective?
Allow my emotions to rule my life. Going to sleep without a few minutes of reflection on all the things I have to be grateful for.
Loving and being loved in return. In the same vane, giving in charity and receiving sincerely charitable gifts of time assistance, and sometimes just the empathy of people sharing in my pains or helping me get through times of trial. It is the circle of love and sometimes the fruits of forgiveness.
I am always inspired to serve the poor than any others. Selfishly, their expressed gratitude is so fulfilling I want to do it everyday. Secondly their example of finding joy and fulfillment in the most minimal of life’s offerings is such a great example for me. Sometimes I feel like they are serving me. The elderly and lonely are my next priority when given a choice. For some are just lonely with no family for others they are in need of some TLC. This is as close to God as I can get in...

The elderly and lonely are my next priority when given a choice. For some are just lonely with no family for others they are in need of some TLC. This is as close to God as I can get in this life. An image of self-sacrifice and generosity is my soul aspiration.
As I continued on the path of life that is lived with gratitude I would have to say the invisible is Faith and Hope indivisible is reminding myself to make everything old new again.
My faith and I ever growing ability to surrender myself into God’s hands. This maturing ability to accept all things as God’s will help me help others by allowing me to unite my challenges and suffering with the courage Jesus had to face his passion and to suffer and die on the cross. It is it is my hope that by this example also find the peace and serenity that comes when you submit and Surrender Your Life to God
Unconditional forgiveness, unconditional love, self-sacrifice and charity
What the body needs and what the mind wants are so frequently conflicted. My body is happiest when I’m moving. That might be immersed in nature, music, artistry or affection.. They are all most gratifying and fulfilling when it enjoyed with a companion. So, I would say companionship
It’s my wife who always reminds me how blessed we are.. Surrounding myself in the Beauty of Mother Nature. taking the time to recognize it and to know that I am loved is the greatest gift.
I can always be prepared to take time to listen to someone who has something to say, to forgive someone who has said something hurtful and to show my love for everyone in random acts of charity.
Wow, Howie, that is absolutely beautiful. I cut and pasted that out and sent it to my wife. I will offer my prayers for you today that God should send you a muse and in gratitude for mine.
Very insightful. Thank you Howie
You’re so eloquent Howie. You’re so tough.
