Gratefulness
Grateful in the moment.
That I find employment that is financially adequate and fulfilling. That God will heal the divisions in this country. That God will also awaken me to realize a lasting inner peace.
I have a vision of a world where we can talk to one another regardless of our differences. Seems Like Only Yesterday that we could do that but its been at least two presidential Administrations.. I am I always willing to listen and ask people if they feel the way they do why they think other people might feel differently? The only thing I can do is add the Blessed Mother directed us at Fatima is to pray fire the world and try my best to do everything with a loving intention.
In my line of work I am part od a team. Each of us handles a different phase and passes to the next. We are always Doreen on each other. It allies each one of us to make thier own important contribution to the process and creates a sense of collectiveism for us all.
Asa Christian, I try to always think of others first. This space is teaching me the added dimension of seeing all of life as a gift from God and not to overlook the frequent opportunities to give him thanks and praise.
Dedicate 10 minute. Of time everyday in which you can reflect on how listening, understanding, and expressing empathy and genuine love for another.Pray for peace in our own hearts, for our country and for those individuals what time we interact on a daily basis. When appropriate, a hug can be a powerful expression of tenderness.
I go to a place enter I can find quiet in solitude. I allow the quiet to overtake me in centering prayer. I then accept my circumstance as a way to grow closer to God. Then I recollect some of the many things I am grateful to God for delivering to me or delivering me from in my life.
By living in the preserve moment with an attitude of Thanksgiving and making a commitment to think first of how I can best serve others.

Acceptance. Life has not turned out as I had once expected it would. I am learning to put all my worries and fears in God’s hands. I am learning to trust in God and to rekindle hope. I am lessening patience, empathy and to listen.
Something as simple as sitting quietly and reflecting on all of the things that have happened to me in my life, and all the things that I have are gifts to be greatfulness for but most importantly, trusting that where I am in my life right now is where God wants me to be. This s the prayer that is leading me towards two of the midst ebony gifts of the Holy Spirit. peace and joy. Blessings and Peace to all who come to this space.

PS. This year I hope to lessen how to see life through eyes of wonder.
By always being the calm, quiet spirit in the group. This will exemplify to others what your intentions are for your interaction with them, benevolence and joy. It conveys a quiet confidence that show you are at peace, trusting in God. Trusting in life.
In order to listen to those around us attentively, we have to stop what it is we’re doing at the moment. Most often that is some action focused on ourselves. When our first thought is turned toward others and not ourselves, we take the first step in surrendering our ego and also the first step toward being the blessing God has intended all of us to be to one another. However, listening is ot the only intention from which we can benefit. For it is how we choose to respond that brings ab...

When our first thought is turned toward others and not ourselves, we take the first step in surrendering our ego and also the first step toward being the blessing God has intended all of us to be to one another. However, listening is ot the only intention from which we can benefit. For it is how we choose to respond that brings about possibility. I am learning that sometimes it is as simple as telling the person that you understand how they feel. Other times it gives us an opportunity for charity or some way that we can be of aid to them. It is our reactionby which God rest possibility in our hands.
The recognition that nothing in life is certain but death helps to keep me recollected that I have to be grateful for in the life I have lived this far and all Good has given to me. For all things in luge are a gift.
The hour I give myself every morning to pray for others, contemplate and cultivate the gratitude I need to remind myself of every moment of every day and to read all your post which do often inspire my faith.
When I started this practice about 8 months ago coming out of challenges in my life that hasve nothing to do with the pandemic. It was great for the first 6 months I was see life with wonder noticing the little things to be joyful for and recollecting the times in my life that God has been there to get me through. However, the last couple of months I’ve slipped out of the practice and the joy that I had is once again eluding me. So, I return to the site daily with the hope and fortitude...

I know a family that has been devastated by inheritable mental illness. To make matters worse 5 years ago the father lost his job and then lost everything. His daughter is severely mentally ill with schizophrenia. His son is a rather remarkable human being who has fought through his mental illness and is now venturing into being self-employed. this week the son got in a car accident and lost his car. One of the great Christian Mystics St. John of the Cross referred to a time in our lives where we cannot see the goodness of God. He called it The Dark Night of the Soul. There was a time I had the financial wherewithal to just go out and buy Geoffrey another car but that all changed about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, battling depression myself ,I’m finding it hard to get motivated to do anything but to pray for them.
I am learning through the Gratitude practice to Find the Joy or at least seek joy in every moment. Whether gratitude 4 a beautiful day, comfortable Financial circumstances, or the sadness of seeing a family in turmoil, bearing Financial burdens. If I trust life that is God is in all things, then I can accept that even the turmoil is for a greater good. I can have hope and enjoy the opportunity I have to help others when to give thanks how fortunate I am.
Howie, That is so admirable and yet another example of living gratitude. I myself wrestle constantly with finding that contentment. I find myself only feeling generous with my excess. I will meditate on this one all through the course of the day. TY and may God continue to Bless you.
Bravo Kevin and Howie. I miss the comraderie of team sports. I admire your perseverance and fortitude. I just added a WaterRower to my cardio rotation last month. I’ll be praying for Kevin next time I look outside my NJ home at the winter weather thinking he’s a better man than I.
I will continue to pray for our country and whoever the people elect. Especially prayerful that the Little Sisters of the Poor are not forced to cover abortions in thier healthcare plans and tax dollars are not used for abortions. I believe we all know all lives matter. Including those without a voice

Over the last 4 years, complicit with the media, and big tech, a side of the isle has taken upon themselves to defy the will of the people who elected a president mostly based on the eight year policies of the prior administration. Thier self righteous defiance has established a tone of social conversation that has forged a political divide this country has not seen since the Civil War. I am far from this President’s biggest fan but he was rightfully elected in a fair system. The exemplary behavior of his adversaries has had its expected consequences, an even greater divide. Now in power, a great wave of unity is expected. Sadly, my guess is the example of behavior over the past four years has had consequences, a new normalcy.
In this space we learn to trust in life. If we succeed we attain a peace that the world does not know. The peace Brother David intended for us all. It is independent of ideology and beyond human understanding.
Peace, love and greater understanding to all in the New Year.
Accepting all things in life ad an opportunity recognize our abundance and the love we receive from others we can begin to trust life. Once we trust life we can more easily let go of our desires and accept our disappointments knowing that God’s Will and plan for us is far greater that anything we have conjured up in our own mind as our means for happiness and joy
