I talked to my Great-Aunt last week. Her cognitive decline was challenging for me to hear. Then she said how she thanks God first thing in the morning and last thing at night that she is able to do things (i.e. bathing, dressing) without assistance. Her gratitude inspires me!
I don’t know about the habitat of most Lotuses, but these thrive in a murky pond. They help me remember that grace is always possible in times of hardship.
With each cycle of my life, with each turn of the world, I find myself returning again to gratitude.
Beautiful flowers! I have never seen an insect house before. What a great way to honor the natural order of things. Happy gardening!
