Difficulties in my life have shaped my experience of resilience.
First of all I want to tell you what the definition of resilience is. Okay so Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness..
I have had lots of difficulties n my life such as struggling in school, emotional abuse and verbal abuse.
I have also always felt that my parents and relatives never really thought highly of me.
These difficulties just make me want to dig deeper...
These difficulties just make me want to dig deeper and be a bad ass in the world. I want to prove everyone wrong and show people that I am someone powerful.
Yes. I have been holding on to trauma that happened in my life. A guy in my life was verbally and emotionally abusive. I opened up a little bit to family in 2015. but I am still holding on to the trauma and haven’t been able to let go of it. I suffered from migraines because of the trauma and now I have depression and anxiety because of the trauma. But I am planning to go talk to a counselor to get rid of the trauma.
Living gratefully inspires me to engage in the world as I feel like I am more able to shine my light on the world and be the best version that I can be so I can be of help to those around me.
I have grown recently by realizing that I need to talk to a counselor. I have suffered from emotional abuse due to an individual who was in my life for seven year. Don’t worry he isn’t in my life anymore, Him causing me emotional abuse caused health problems. I suffered from migraines because of him. I also have depression and anxiety because of him. Because of him I have low self esteem, I don’t believe in myself and have no confidence.
I can’t just think of one contribution to the world or my community. I can think of at least three. I like to crochet. I contribute to the world by crocheting for charity. I like to knit. I contribute to the world by knitting for charity. I also work as Community Health Worker. I contribute to the world by providing care to the elderly.
Being outdoors and enjoying nature and being in the sun
The Riches in my Life that cannot be Lost are the experiences, joys, sorrows, adventures and education that I have had so far in my life. Also the travels I have been on. These are all the riches in my life that cannot be lost as they are all a part of my life long story.
I can live most fully today by being fully present in the moment. Going to the Boxing Gym and put in 100 percent and more into Boxing, Going for a walk with a friend outdoors and completing items from my to do list.
My name is Emily. I asked my parents ages ago about my name. My Mom had ideas of calling me Rachel, Flora or Emma but my dad just started calling me Emily and that’s how my name came to be. I also have an ancestor whose name was also Emily.
For me favorite memories are experiences such as my my experience taking the train from Vancouver to Toronto or remembering fun times on family holidays. I have lots of favorite memories or I guess I should say lots of favorite experiences. I have way too many I could talk about and I hope to build lots of more favorite experiences.
I can show up with greater integrity today by being totally present in the moment and putting in my best work. There is no time for complaints or excuses. There is no time to put in work that is only half ass. I need to be 100 percent focused on doing the best that I can do in my job.
A step I can take towards a vision I have been holding is writing down my vision as goals and then working on conquering each vision one at a time. I could also write down my visions in my journal and create a vision board as well that I could tape to my wall.
I started Boxing in 2015 and I would have to say all of the Boxing Coaches I have had and do have are my most important teachers in my life. They teach me discipline and I never realized it before but I need more discipline in my life. So I would have say that I am very grateful to my Boxing Coaches who teach me discipline and light my ass on fire.
I might practice grateful living in the presence of pain through prayer, writing down the pain in my journal and just sharing the pain I am in with others.
My Mom, My Dad, My Nephew and Niece. And My Friends.
I agree that Gratefulness can be humbling and I have to say that this statement does resonate with me. Gratefulness can help me to grow as a person and have a good attitude in life. Gratefulness can help me to be happy, positive, joyful, considerate, caring, compassionate and thankful. I want to try to be Grateful on a daily basis.
Reverence arises in my life through having a deep respect for those in authority such as police officers, nurses, doctors, fire fighters and teachers. What brought me here is finding out about Gratefulness.org in an email about Yoga.
The most important thing in this moment is to find true happiness. I want to be genuinely happy while living on the Earth. I am not sure if I ever will find true Happiness but I hope I do.
Gratefulness inspires me to act on behalf of my cares and concern for the Earth and our Global Family. I love the Earth and am grateful for the Earth. Because of this I try to do my part to save the environment through recycling, reducing and reusing. I try not to litter as well. I want to leave a healthy Earth for our Global Family.
