Gratefulness
I love being here.
I can stay with God for the whole day. Juliana of Norwich has said: At the start of the day put your head in your heart and stand before God the whole day. That is what I will do today.
Seeing Jesus in each person I meet. Greeting, looking in the eyes of the person I am with, showing respect in the words I choose and in my thoughts..
By protecting the least. By recognizing the life force in all beings. The life force in the African lion when I hear him roar in the dark of night, the life force in the eyes of the little kitten, the same life force in the rose that opens on a spring morning and the life force in the woman who sits alone at the back of the church. We are all connected to the great I am.
Nature. the majestic mountains around Queens-town, the Milford sound, the green of the Wairarapa, the African bush, the great Kalahari desert, the Botswana flood plain, the ocean, the breaking of the sea when a Southern right whale clefs the air. God is great … all the time all the time!
My love of wild open spaces and nature. Running around barefoot in the wild untamed African bush, hearing the cries of the jackal at night, swimming in a wild unpolluted river and playing cops and robbers with our dogs in the vast citrus orchard infuses me with delight and appreciation every day of my life.
My ideas of entitlement. Everything is a gift. Everything is given by God. Every moment, every breath, every encounter and if I remember that today I will remember to be thankful for each gift moment.
The gift of difference, newness, experience, and outlook.
God is present in the silence. In the darkness, in the suffereing, in the pain. that is where God is most present.
With faith and with God. Praying the Jesus prayer all day long saying: ” Jesus Christ son of God have mercy on me a poor sinner”. Being aware that I can do nothing and nothing good without God. Asking and praying novenas to help me on the way and trying to live a Nazareth life. a life lived with Jesus, Joseph, and Mary.
To respond with love. Love is like water and water quenches a fire.
Send a message, send a thank you card, phone, send flowers, smile, spend time with them, tell them I love them, tell them I appreciated them, pray for them and light a candle for them.
The deputy principal when he painted the circles for the painting project. That just made my day.
Choose tact over temper Learn to cultivate a diplomatic poker face — this is key in learning to treat all people with civility and politeness. It doesn’t mean you have to agree with someone you dislike or go along with what they say. You just need to maintain a consistent level of decorum when interacting with them.
Be soft on the person, but firm on issues. This means that you focus on the issues that need to be corrected rather than attack someone personally.
Being a Catholic makes me happy. I love Mary, Jesus, and Joseph and I love living a Nazareth life with purpose and with faith. I love that with my diet I am not causing pain and suffering, that I care about the environment and that I am a conscious consumer. Being a teacher makes me happy and being a grandmother makes me happy. God is good all the time … all the time!
T live a peaceful life. A Nazareth life with Jesu, Joseph, and Mary.
I hear … voice of others … voice of God.
This moment here with God, praying for my beloved son is the one chance I have to lift him up and place him in the water to be healed. It is that energy, that flow, that spark that lights the fire. This moment may change the direction of his life forever. This moment when a mother prays for a son.
My back. My spine is precious. all my nerves flow through my spine and that is the powerhouse of all of my movement, my interaction with others and my spine keeps me upright. So wonderful!
With the Mensa Salis group. I feel spiritually supported in this group.
I have learned that God always makes a way in the desert.
