Patience and the ability to live in the moment without expectations
I can look at my response to people and improve my ability to restrain gut reactions. I really need to improve patience and send loving thoughts and prayers to those who disagree with my thoughts.
Thank you for the wonderful explanation of life and our distorted views filled with “expectations”; most of which are never realized and thus, the disappointment and agony of our psyche. A book written by Scott Peck begins “Life is difficult…” and we can make it even more difficult by not relaxing and accepting what “is”…
I hail from western Pennsylvania and lived there all my life except the last 9 years. I retired 9 years ago and moved to the Florida Gulf Coast, near Naples. It has been wonderful enjoying the beaches and all that seaside nature has to offer; however, I do miss the spring and fall of PA when the leaves are bursting forth in green and then turning all the colors of the rainbow in the fall. BLOOM where you are planted!
I pray for peace in the world and harmony among all races. In my own life, I pray for God’s guidance to become a better person and to allow His grace to work in my life.
I would re-live the birth of my son. The pain soon faded and I got to meet and hold the life that lived inside me for 9 months. The love and gratitude that he was perfect and a new way of life was just beginning for both of us was overwhelming. He is now soon to be 29. Seems like yesterday!
