There are people with whom it is difficult to exchange opinions, especially if they are “talking points” from certain media. I tend to just listen and to accept them as persons. Whatever we do or don’t know about each others’ opinions, we neighbors are good to each other. I think that if they are going to change, it will come from within them, and my acceptance may have played some part. Rather like Carl Rogers on the conditions that allow for change.
