Gratefulness
I am in awe of my body, for though I live with a chronic condition my body always serves me as best it can. And I express gratitude to it and serve & care for it as best I can. Today’s reflection resonates deeply and is a timely reminder to always be body-aware. “Wow, thank you!” And thank you for these teachings.
This puts me in mind of Maya Angelou “Today is a wonderful day, I’ve never see this one before”, which I regularly say first thing. Well, after I’ve said good morning to God & thanks for this day. I shall be adding “normal” and expressing gratitude for this wonderful normal day.
My “business” of living and being and doing and praising and thanking is never finished, and I am grateful that these and so many other things remain unfinished – May I be given the grace to complete what can be completed, to tackle the urgent now, and to know what can be left for another time, May I also be given the grace to always be thankful and to share my gratitude with others. Deep bow of gratitude to you all for all you do, all you give us.
Thank you for this, another beautiful Blessing. I am blessed to live in a place where dark skies are cherished. Thank you for this, another beautiful Blessing. I am blessed to live in a place where dark skies are cherished. Sometimes, in the wee hours when I cannot sleep, I stand in my darkened living room and look out at the woods behind my flat and the skies above. Sometimes they are bright with moon and starlight and sometimes filled with low cloud – when this is so, I remind myself that the light is still there, behind those clouds. Just as the light is always present and shines within me – within us all -even when we lose touch with it. It is always there, inviting us to reconnect.
May I become a “patchwork quilt of blessings to others” each day. My gratitude to you for this lesson.
Many years ago when I was very ill I would sit at my window looking out at the woods behind my flat. I found comfort in the swaying of branches and leaves and would say to myself “God is out there in the wind and trees and within and beside me as I learn to live with this condition. Though much better than I was then, I still find solace sitting at my window and doing as I did then. Thank you for all you do for us.
Hi Heather, I too am in the UK and wondered why I couldn’t register, then I twigged that I had to put on a quantity if how many places changing the 0 to 1. Hey presto! I have registered. This may not have been your difficulty, but I offer it in case it was. Kind good wishes Brenda
