If I am speaking ‘intentionally’, I look carefully for the ‘right words’ and then I watch for reaction. I have been amazed how often others misunderstand my words, reflecting how each of us has a ‘private listening’ comprised of all the ‘good and bad’ experiences of the listener. Actually, we probably misunderstand others as often as understand them! But focusing on the ‘felt sense’ of connection requires a real presence.
Being truly connected, realizing and feeling our oneness, suspending somehow the separation that the mind creates. Being truly connected, sharing deeply, moving into the awe of love.
My day is often spent looking at something or for something to get a sign of worthiness. A stock quote, an email, etc. It really is a waste of my time, since worth comes from within, not without.. Today, I will pause before I do the mindless searches, and take a breath, and think of the candle that I lit today.
Sharing music can be so transcendent! Good for you!!
Sometimes just being fully present with someone will allow you to ask that question. You will sense their unease. However, sometimes it’s not a good idea since it may suggest to them that they are doing something wrong, or do not look ‘alright’. I find that my heart generally tells me what to do.
Be that happy friendly person, and you will be that spark for others. And you will notice it!
