Last month, my refrigerator stopped running, and I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement part. During that time, I disposed of most things due to spoiling; ate out in restaurants, and kept a small ice chest. Of course, I had to get ice every day. A concerned neighbor kept some items in her freezer and refrigerator. When my refrigerator finally got fixed, I listened dearly to the sweetest sound of a cold refrigerator running again. It was music to my ears.
I will remember this tonight when I hug my precious Lily, and scratch her belly before I say good night.
I wish I felt refreshed, but the weight is heavy today. I don’t know why life’s traumas are so randomly appointed or thrown about in certain places. I’m grateful only for gratefulness.
Thank you for softening my heart and reminding me that “I am.”
Thank you for thinking of me and sending comforting words.
Thank you. I appreciate your kindness.
