Gratefulness
The importance of love, compassion, joy and equanimity can’t be taken for granted. Along with gratitude they are sources of liberty from suffering.
Happiness and joyful determination arises when I wake up grateful. My heart becomes more available when I’m awake to gratitude.
Right now sitting here in my car waiting to go into the hospital I’m filled with wonderful compassion. The winter sky has opened up to reveal the warm sunshine. Portions of the baby blue sky hold white and gray fluffy clouds slowly easing their way to wherever they are off to. Life is a wonder. Stop, look and move forward in grace with gratitude.
By enjoying and loving now. Let go of the past and let go of grasping at the future. Love now!
I do look at people by their true potential. Everyone has what we could call Buddha potential or a perfect light. We can’t destroy our potential it’s always there with us and we just need to come back to the present moment and shine out of our hearts center. Not always easy when we have afflicted emotions but, regardless our fully awakened potential can never be damaged or taken away. This is a reason to be joyful!
Everything! Anger and resentment are the true enemy. Uprooting anger by the roots would be a completely liberating life! Anger is the true enemy.
I have underestimated trust in the inner voice. Trusting ourselves or perhaps listening to ourselves is very important! Now that I’ve lived for a while I have the luxury of reflection which allows me to look at where in life I didn’t trust myself even though my inner voice said it was time to let go or move on . Underestimating getting out of our comfort zone due to fear of the unknown is a loss of opportunities! Today’s quote says her religion is nature and I apprecia...
Today’s quote says her religion is nature and I appreciate that but I will add to it and say mine is kindness. Therefore I will add kindness to any underestimations. We can’t always know exactly what to choose or where or when to let go. With kindness I allow my heart to guide me even more and not underestimate its value.
Everything is sufficient and I’m very grateful for having my needs being met. May all beings be safe and happy free from suffering.
My faith teaches me to watch for my doubt and ask questions like : are you sure ?
This is a good question! Today I have to deal with a water leak so anyone who is a house owner knows how this feels. I am doing my best to not stress about the things I can’t control.
I want to learn more about mind training – I want to know more about how my mind works so that I can watch it to make sure I know what it’s getting up to! Charlotte Brontë is right life should not be wasted on nursing animosities or registering wrongs! Much like today’s quote says- I can only control my own mind which means I can choose how to respond. I’m grateful for this day. I have an opportunity to live deeply in the present moment and I’m happy. Happy weekend friends! May you all be well and may you all be free from suffering.
I volunteered for the most part of the day and I hope this will have a positive impact. ♥️
The shinning star of the power of intention guides me in darkness and in lightness. Coming back to the purpose of my life is ….
Compassion often leads me to gratitude. When I see the true nature of reality I am humble and grateful to all.
Hi Ose, It’s been a while since we said hi to each other. I hope you are doing well. I get what you are saying here and I just felt that way this evening when I picked up my youngest son from work. He was saying how he couldn’t imagine living here forever and that maybe he’ll want to live in the USA. My heart dropped because of course wouldn’t know what I would do here in a Norway without him! But we’re not in the future yet! So rather than think I better not get too clo...
So rather than think I better not get too close to my almost adult children to protect my heart I decided to enjoy the now. This is really helpful because we can only live now. So it may sound simple minded but it’s what I take refuge in. I take refuge in love in the present moment. I hope we can help each other to enjoy what we have right now.
Michele! That’s a lot and you’re very very fortunate!
Lovely and yes we do it for ourselves too! Hugs 🤗
Pilgrim no doubt we need that now!
Thank you for that Caroline what a beautiful way to bring to peace right here to my heart.
