Gratefulness
Letting go of all of my identities has transformed my mind. The change of my attitude about letting go has brought more peace to the present moment.
I can practice grateful living in the presence of pain by staying awake to where my mind is wandering. Am I talking to my self in a negative way? I can use the tools of the 3 questions to filter unwholesome thoughts and feelings. Ask: 1. Is what I’m thinking true? 2. Is it useful or necessary? 3. Is it rooted in peace love and truth. If the thought doesn’t make it through all the gateways then let it go. Thoughts like this pain is going to last forever ...

Letting go is the key.
I’m growing in confidence to trust life and to let go of the ego more and more. Growing in the wisdom of slowing down and opening up to whatever this moment is offering is a beautiful practice a lot like gardening. Growing the seeds of patience, understanding, compassion, and insight is a full time job! Slowing down and stopping to tend this garden is essential. I’m grateful to see the seeds taking root and sprouting. The weeding is also essential because I see those old habits/ negative emotions sometimes popping up and if I can catch them right when they are occurring they lose there growing momentum. Seeds have to be cultivated and tended . Growing in present moment awareness of which seeds to water and which to uproot takes focus.
Life and the gift of life is inspirational.y practice of compassion and loving kindness is a foiling inspiration. The curiosity of the heart fills me with propelling inspiration.
That means that we can live a life full of compassion and kindness.
I’m fortunate because I get to live this amazing journey with all of you !
Some of what I thought were the worse things that could ever happen to have very often turned out to be the things that have made me become more resilient . Today’s quote reminds me of my attitude when these “god awful” events were occurring. I was full of fear and had a resistance against what was happening. Now I see, of course, in hindsight, that these events were gifts. Trusting life completely, means to let go of the struggle against what is and say yes to ...

Today’s quote reminds me of my attitude when these “god awful” events were occurring. I was full of fear and had a resistance against what was happening. Now I see, of course, in hindsight, that these events were gifts. Trusting life completely, means to let go of the struggle against what is and say yes to life! It does take enormous amounts of courage to open your heart and say yes to life no matter what! Thank you brother David I’m grateful for this question because it helps me reflect on these last three years with gratitude!
I can show up to life with more integrity by being awake and aware of feelings arising. With each moment feelings arising can sweep me away or I can consciously choose how to respond rather than react. I can show up to life with more integrity by being awake and aware of feelings arising. With each moment feelings arising can sweep me away or I can consciously choose how to respond rather than react. When I am aware of my intention each moment I can change the habits that I may have with a reactive mind. So if I want more integrity then I need to plant the seeds to grow integrity. What is integrity? To me integrity means having ethical conduct. This means to me to remember to act, speak and be ethical throughout my day. Speak the truth and do my best to help others. Be loving and compassionate. Meet challenging circumstances with respectful attitude. Meet each moment with an attitude of gratitude: saying yes to life with kindness.
When I see gratitude in every moment and I equalize “myself “ with the so called “other” a radical shift in awareness occurs. Anyone’s suffering is my suffering, including Mother Earth. Gratitude brings forth the motivation of Joyous action and skillful means. Gratitude is wisdom shinning the flashlight into the darkness of the selfish mind. Gratitude brings love and truth in my heart and helps me find courage to keep going for all of us.
The most important thing at this moment is to pay close attention to my son who’s having breakfast woh me. The most important thing I can do is to shine out love and truth from my heart and say whatever love energy which has awakened may it radiate out to all beings. May the love and truth that I represent – May it be shared to all beings everywhere. May my healing be the healing for everyone. May it have a ripple effect for peace and love.
The first thing that comes to mind is self-centeredness or self cherishing. Anytime my mind gets in the fear or worried mode it closes off my heart. To truly be wholeheartedly engaged is when I am in the flow of the moment giving myself to whatever the moment calls for. Letting go of the self helps me be wholeheartedly present.

Verren Jesila, That’s exactly how I feel. Flexibility is a beautiful way to be. It allows for more equanimity.
Thank you for the story !
Kevin, Haha! I understand that and that’s why I don’t get on the scale ! I do notice that my jeans are tighter! Time to go to the gym and watch our eating habits! 🙂
Dear Wiltrud, So true! I too am fortunate due to that. I would add that I have all my faculties currently working properly. That’s also fortunate! Thanks you! Peace and love to you.
Dear Zoe, Very happy for you and your family.
Dear Pilgrim, I wish you wellness and a speedy recovery. Just the fact that you are aware of sowing the seeds means that you can plant happiness seeds and joyful seeds. You also see what you want to focus on which will help you to see the goodness.
Verena, Thank you for the thoughtful response. Trust in the path is very important. Trust your own possibilities of pure Buddha hood- Buddha nature. We can keep improving with each step.
Thank you for your service Lisa. Much love to you .
