Words, lens can’t capture full moon’s resplendent glow so I sit, beholding.
In this morning’s sprint I could have hit all my marks and missed everything.

I’d written this haiku at about this time last year – a morning when I’d made my usual dash to the office and thankfully was also present enough to notice magnificent roses in bloom as I walked. I share this particular haiku here now because it holds true: This eight-day practice has been invaluable in guiding my focus, attention, and creative expression deeply and gratefully to the present moment. This practice has been a gift to receive and was so thoughtfully prepared and offered. Thank you!
His violin lilts, mingling as kids dart and dash through dappled spring trees.
you never knew me when we were together and how i love you now

no longer banished alone in mausoleum alive within me
swept with sudden glee super cute whale-cow plush toy candy store surprise
reminds, invites to enjoy fun carefree pleasures balances strong drive
came to complete stop water’s edge tiny pebbles keen focus dissolve
I cast my gaze up. Smoky veils dance with the moon gleaming on us all.
surprise! they announce. blossoms sway in long cascades. this tree is alive!
I wrote this haiku about a recent sweet, startling discovery when the tree I’d thought was dead suddenly bloomed vibrant delicate blossoms!

I am drawn to this haiku because of its circularity and simplicity. In this haiku I notice interconnection and the interplay in each being lost in the other. Reading this haiku I experience both a soothing balance and my attention piqued in the invitation to puzzle: How are these two both lost in one another? I enjoy being drawn in, curious, while also feeling calmed by the peaceful dep...
I am drawn to this haiku because of its circularity and simplicity. In this haiku I notice interconnection and the interplay in each being lost in the other. Reading this haiku I experience both a soothing balance and my attention piqued in the invitation to puzzle: How are these two both lost in one another? I enjoy being drawn in, curious, while also feeling calmed by the peaceful depiction – a lovely juxtaposition!
I am a fan of the 5-7-5 and am also appreciating the opportunity to be more free during this particular practice.
