I have been working on this for awhile now. Ever since my separation. I know I have been set free and am trying to be grateful for that. Some days are easier than others. There is a lot of love and empathy there…but also a lot of pain and sadness. I need to remind myself that it’s a journey, not a race.
When others are having a hard time, that is when I feel most generous. My heart takes over and all I want to do is ease their pain. I think that’s when I’m at my most generous.
Dark mornings in a cozy house. Fresh coffee. Soft sheets. Laughter. Music.
I’m thankful for my soon-to-be ex husband. I am devastated that he left our family but thankful for the lessons he taught me about how to love…and how not to. And for setting me free to live a life on my terms.
