Gratefulness
What a beautiful combination of your words and Jack Kornfield’s. I appreciate this, Hugh, and am going to borrow! Thank you.
This is a new poem to me; thank you, Hugh. How beautiful.
Heartfelt gratitude to each of you for sharing wonderful resources, inspiring stories, and personal experiences. I’m very touched by what you’ve offered here and am already enjoying exploring new resources. Thank you. You’ve lifted my spirits this morning and oriented me to love — no better way to begin the day.
Hello Hugh, I appreciate what you’re sharing here. It doesn’t necessarily come easily….I had been thinking about this spiral for many days before actually trying it out. What if you started from the inside of the spiral instead, naming those closest to you, including roles rather than specific individuals. i.e. grocery store clerk, mail deliverer, etc.? I also found that my list expanded greatly when I thought of groups of people who came before me who made my current...
I also found that my list expanded greatly when I thought of groups of people who came before me who made my current life possible…not just family ancestors but activists for certain causes, spiritual leaders, writers I love, caretakers of the land where I now live. I’ll be eager to hear how things unfold… Warm wishes, Sheryl
I’m deeply appreciating the reflections shared here; thank you. Some of the words from your posts that are especially resonating with me this morning: infinite, belonging, word artist, shared constellation, memories, cry. I’m revisiting my own sketched constellation/spiral and looking at it anew through the lens of each of your reflections. Thank you.
I’ve deeply appreciated your posts throughout the week, Judi. Thank you you so much for taking the time to share. And I love knowing the story of the tree that you use as your photo. Truly beautiful!
What a moving reflection, Judi. Sending healing thoughts to you as you go through treatment. It sounds like you have an amazing family embodying love in action — no doubt inspired and informed by you. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this tenderness, Mandy. I hope that this softening creates a bit of space in the relationship or even just a bit of space for you. Sending care.
Dear Concetta, I’m so sorry that you no longer have a dog and that special companionship while walking. I couldn’t tell from your post if you’re still able to take walks, but I hope that the cherished memories of your dog walks allow you to tap into some of that same clarity and good feeling. Sending much care and tenderness your way.
Oh, that story of the bike! So touching.
Mandy, What a beautiful and open reflection. It’s always poignant when we’re reminded that happiness and longing live so closely in our hearts. I do wish you healing in your journey; may your gestures of care be received with appreciation. Warmly, Sheryl
