An appreciation of good health.
I am waiting for the pandemic to be over. It is certainly the scariest thing that has happened in my life.
Before the virus, I used to long for open, unstructured time where I could just be, follow my intuitions and passions, and see what came up for me. I now have the luxury of that in the midst of the pandemic. Now I fight the thoughts in my head that I am just being lazy. No wonder it has been hard to relax all my life.
I am grateful for the openness of this time.
I am a college student advisor and have had to learn a lot of new skills using Zoom and other platforms for communicating. It has been challenging but in a good way.
Water, food, something to look forward to, and a loving family and friends.
That so many people are working hard on containing the virus. They don’t get the press that the rabble rousers do, but they are on the job every day, doing their best for humankind. I am deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses, scientists and leaders who are stepping up to meet and solve the biggest challenge of our lifetimes.
That people are generally abiding by the rules of this pandemic. There are always outliers, of course, but generally we are taking other people’s safety into consideration in addition to our own. (Despite a lack of leadership from the top).
It changes you from the inside. As a species we look to things outside of us to entertain us, distract us, make us happy. Gratitude is a quiet feeling that gently changes our body and mind to be more aware of all that we have.
Go for a nice long walk in the sunshine.
My scary thoughts about the future. If I let them, they will run wild! I choose not to. 🙂
I am deeply grateful for all my friendships with high quality women. I know they will be there for me if and when I need them, and I will be there for them.
My heart is yearning for a sense of “normalcy” that I always took for granted.
To be a valued, contributing member of my family and community.
I am grateful for my job and that I can work from home.
Kindness toward others. I was able to make a big difference in someone’s life today.
To be aware of all the people in need at this time,. and to share our resources with them.
That we will have a new president and thus new leadership in November.
Yes they are truly awful. I hope it has passed by now.
