Beauty is everywhere when you look for it. I was just outside skiing through the trees. While looking at the trees I realized I could think of them two different ways. Dead and ugly or bare and beautiful. I chose the latter. The trees were bare, naked, imperfect, yet beautiful. Anything in life can be beautiful if you choose to look at it in that way!
This would be a game changer for my relationships! If I waited before speaking I’d reword many things so they sound appropriate not crass! People would respect what I’d say even more as they would learn that I would think about each comment before saying it. Something I should definitely try!
Tight question as no example stands out. All I can think is daily I’m forgiven for making typical human mistakes!
My brother’s disabilities and my responsibilities to them, my sons disability, my own hearing loss. I limit myself by not sharing my story as I hate the ‘oh no, poor you’ line! This has carried over into other settings as I now tend to be quiet and therefore not share in any setting. Crazy how not sharing about my life to avoid the poor you, really affects so many areas in my life!
I could put my phone away and be mindful of what is going on around me. I could use that moment to reflect on my blessings and work on being in the moment!
My brother is a perfect example for this question. Some days I truly struggle with him as he has special needs and has difficulty getting his mind to think about anything except what he wants. Even though we struggle I learn so much about love from him. He loves deeply and truly cares. He doesn’t understand how his actions do not convey love, yet I know he cares. He teaches me that everyone has their own way of handling things and showing love!
My first thought was that I’m abundant in love! I have love to give and receive love from many! I have plenty of love to share with others!! I can show love by being kind to others and truly listening to and caring about others!
I hope to continue to enjoy the great outdoors and to have more adventures! I’ve spent too much time indoors, and have recently reconnected with the outdoors, I want to continue that healthy, peaceful habit!
I have been happier lately! I contribute this to opening up my mind to new ideas, accepting different practices and beliefs, allowing myself to believe that I too can be happy! With all that I’ve been learning and the increase happiness with my learning, I am motivated to continue learning and expanding my experiences. We only love one life, I want to love the life I live!
