Gratefulness
Love – it is all about Love.
Again, a reminder the body is a temple. Being a physical theater artist I have demanded much of this temple. I have jumped off of, climbed up on and hurled myself through so many obstacles. Like life. And much like the “heart…in the cathedral of the ribs” I marvel at the fact that this 56 year old body still moves and grooves. Certainly not in the same way but the body is a wonder. Can take so much and still the vibrancy of life hums through it. I am so grateful for this body....

Can take so much and still the vibrancy of life hums through it. I am so grateful for this body. I love the idea of walking around and celebrating the eyes. Taking in all there is to be grateful for. And, the positive trajectory – once the poet learns the eyes are improving – hey – maybe everything else can, too. Celebrating what is seemingly a small victory and yet with such big impact. Beautiful.
Time in reflection, a good cup of tea, connecting with friends more often, a church that is focused on social justice and knowing in my heart that love prevails.
I am blessed with a new job. I now work for an organization focused on providing opportunities for people with a wide range of abilities the opportunity to live the best life they want to live. It is humbling and so inspiring. I am learning and sharing what I know which is my happy place.
Not to say I am not concerned ...
Not to say I am not concerned about the political climate in my country (United States). We have so much work to do here. And, it is opportunities like this (I am new to this group) that help me clear space for Grace which gives me the courage to fight for Justice. So grateful to have been sent an email from a friend connecting me to this group. Namaste.
Thank you for your thoughts and reflections. Gave me even more to chew on. And, for volunteering. Such a crucial service.
It is Methodist and inclusive. Not sure of you are aware of the schism last year but Urban Abbey voted to be open to all people.
I absolutely love this. My mother just passed and her great grandchildren will not remember her as they are all so young right now. She crocheted and stitched many items for her children. You just gave me the best idea: to make blankets with her name in them and give them to the great grandchildren with a little story about great grandma so they could know her a little. Thank you! And how beautiful you are doing this for your family!
Sending so much more love and light. Your condition sounds so painful and yet you find the light within. It is very inspiring to me and I thank you for sending that inspiration out to the world.
