Gratefulness
I can visualize peace and compassion by walking the talk. It’s easy to say everyone should e peaceful but are we able to communicate and listen in a peaceful way ourselves ? So I would say that my vision must start within myself. I think a good example of practice in daily life would be in each moment noticing that I have an opportunity to respond to people with kindness and compassion rather than reacting or defending “my ideas” . Maybe it’s time to be more understanding and open to listening? No matter what a chance for peace means I have to remember to pause/ stop – look and go like brother David advices. We see a lot of people taking action out of a mind that is full of anger and or hate. Martin Luther King said that we can’t fight hate with more hate only love can help. Love is the way.
I see acts of kindness everywhere I look. A mother attending her children, a neighbor helping out another neighbor, families helping families, friends helping friends, and so called “ strangers“ assisting all of us! Kindness is everywhere we look and I’m so grateful.
Wisdom and ethical conduct is like an anchor for me. Paying attention to the present moment and making right/ ethical decisions is bring me meaning in life.
Collaboration and cooperation almost always makes things better. I just did a volunteer mindfulness meditation session online and it was very peaceful to be able to breath together and appreciate each other’s presence. During these corona times I really see how much I appreciate human kindness and understanding. We all seem to be more focused on connecting with love and understanding.
I try my best to live by the principles of virtue. I do this by reminding myself of what matters most – virtuous actions, thoughts and words .
The last four years has been on faith. Getting a divorce, getting sick with migraines and going on disability, getting a new home- being a single mom! ( long list probably a lot like many others have) Now my leap of faith is growing stronger because I’m seeing that resiliency building. Right now I have faith that change isn’t something to fear all the time. I think our reptilian brains have us hardwired to flight/ fights mode and now we are awakening to our resilience i...

( long list probably a lot like many others have) Now my leap of faith is growing stronger because I’m seeing that resiliency building. Right now I have faith that change isn’t something to fear all the time. I think our reptilian brains have us hardwired to flight/ fights mode and now we are awakening to our resilience is in trusting and caring for each other. Everywhere I look I see amazing people helping others. I have faith in the goodness in everyone.
I can begin anew each moment when I’m aware of the miracles of life all around. I’m grateful to be able to breath in and out freely with no pain or suffering. I’m grateful to be able to walk. My legs are working and with each step I can arrive with freedom in the present moment. What joy this moment is. Happy new year to you all. May you be well and May you be happy. May you be free from suffering. May love and peace be with you always.
I have learned that setting an intention each and everyday is a necessity. Now I want to try to be better at bookending each day with an intention and ending the day with reflection of what to be joyful of. Reflecting- did my intention flow through the day? Did I respond with compassion and love? This year the power of having a purpose/ intention really kept me grateful and grounded. I hope everyone has a lovely safe corona free New Years! Say hello to 2021! 🙏
Listening to others creates possibilities because we are all similar in that we want to be loved and we want to be happy. By listening we are offering an olive branch of loving kindness and compassion. We are being generous in that we offer a space for others to be seen and heard. Sometimes what may be said isn’t easy to hear but it’s a start to healing. If we can remember that just because something is said does not make it true. We often worry about critical attacks etc but when we listen we can try our best to allow whatever the person is feeling to not be an attack on us. People sometimes have a lot of pain and when they speak this can come out . What helps me is to think – is this criticism true? If so then so be it and how can I work on it? If it isn’t then – let it go. Negativity is like glue and positivity can be like Teflon so if we can remember that the mind tends towards a negative biased we can focus to make sure that we are clearly seeing the truth. This helps create more positive effects for us and people around us. Ultimately, listening is an act of peace. And isn’t peace what we want to see more of? Happy peaceful 2022 ! 🕊

The weather is shifting in transformation all the time. Similarly, my heart is also in the process of transformation.
I agree love is the way .
Hi Malag , Good question! I actually wake up with an intention to see all beings with the eyes of compassion and kindness. That each day I set an intention to do no harm but to ty to be of service. I they to practice kindness and love.
