Gratefulness
For me, gratefulness & awe sit on either side of joy, one towards the past & one towards the future, triggering joy with each activation.
I GATHER in the present moment by thinking quietly and sequentially about the Gravity pulling on my body, about the Air coming in and out of my lungs, about relaxing the Tension in my muscles, about the Heartbeat or pulse I feel in my body, the Environment around me now, and the Relationships the tie me to others like a gossamer web. I spend the time for two or three breaths for each focus.
I will think about this tomorrow with that first, essential cup.
