Yesterday listening deeply and wholeheartedly while accompanying in a sensitive situation possibly helped someone in need.

By being supportive, spending quality time & showing love and kindness. Not judging and offering any wisdom I might be able to share. Giving back and paying it forward when I can as my faith teaches me.
My sister will tell people I will give the shirt off my own back to help someone. I guess it is just who I am : )

A very timely question for me. Yesterday I had four opportunities to make someone’s life a little better.
I gifted a lifetime collection of figurines to the beloved daughter of one of the people I call my guardian angels who have been caring for us as we age. He does everything from major work in the house (recently oversaw the installation of a chair lift and removal of mold and new flooring) to driving us to medical appts to picking up the laundry or something from the store. At their request, I blessed the figurines and the custom-built cabinet before sending them away.
Third was the young man who installed the chair lift, who worked steadily from about 11 am to after 8 pm. I gave him food and drink and a couple of sweets and, again at his request, prayer and blessings to him and his family.
Fourth was sharing a post I had put on this site praising a good friend. My tribute moved her deeply.
I am so blessed to be able to do this. BTW, my husband and I are ordained as spiritual healers in the Order of St. Luke, interdenominational but Anglican in its origin. When we were attending church regularly, we offered hands-0j healing at service every Sunday.

It can be a tricky space. I used to try and ‘fix’ things and usually failed. Giving money and material things in some cases has made the situation worse. Now, I find help can be as simple as being present to listen, a kind word of support and encouragement or even a prayer. It is impossible to put a ‘price’ on a positive supportive relationship.

Earlier, I faced some difficulties logging in via phone. I found some responses from two years ago regarding the same question. However, I am grateful to be able to log in now. My spiritual home encourages us to give of our time, talent, and treasure. I think these are helpful categories. I can spend time with people who need support and companionship. I can volunteer my talent by leading free meditation sessions. Finally, instead of spending money on unnecessary things, I can support causes and those in need financially.

I am a big believer in entanglement. Whatever I do is felt by many. My blessings are myriad. So even the sma6giving will go far.

Giving back when & where I can. I am blessed & I feel that giving back is the “right” thing to do.
Being kind in all situations & spreading love & joy thru out my day. A smile & cheerfulness go a long way. Our broken world needs more “uplifting “… I want to be an “uplifter”. ❤️✨

I don’t like to use the term “I wish”, but
in this case I will. I wish I had more to
give. I wish I had more time, more money,
and more energy to help others.
But, as things are, I will help people when
I can and always be kind.

Be kind, be present,be a good listener. Everyone and every situation is my teacher. We are all wounded healers and I think the greatest contribution I can make is to be willing to learn and to grow. Creation is One and evolution requires cooperation.

To be compassionate. Not to be jealous of someone’s blessings. Instead, be happy for them, join them in prayers, and wish them well with all my kind heart. Clearly, there are many things that cannot be shared, such as weaknesses due to illness or brokenness due to misfortune. However, helping in any way possible can at least reduce a little bit of loneliness for those who are dealing with these challenges. I cultivated my compassion when I was a little girl. When I saw sellers on the streets selling things that I (and perhaps many people in modern days) don’t use as much, I always convinced my mom if she could buy at least one item for them. Because if ten people do that, they may have a chance to be home early. Until now, with my own pocket money, I am happy that I can buy some unnecessary items myself.

I am kind and courteous to all who serve me- wait staff, grocery staff, cashiers at the local Dollar store…I am traveling now for the next few months…and I just try to be kind. If someone is in need- I will try to help. My husband and I are in Texas at this time..last year we bought a lot in a RV co-op for those 55 and older. We have a nice spot to stop and spend some time. This is a community of people- most live here full time…living in their travel trailers, motor homes, etc. Some are too old and many alone now- so driving with a trailer or motor home is no longer an option. This group of people have created a lovely community- and if someone is in need …someone or many seem to step up. My husband, Peter and I are blessed with good health at this time in our life- if we can help others we sure will. Right now…I am on the mission of helping two feral kittens get spayed/neutered…several in the community are caring for them. I am going to do whatever I can to be sure they are vaccinated and cared for.

By being fully present in their lives. Kindness to all beings and our home earth. Sharing my own past trials and tribulations along with current successes and internal well-being with others who participate with Life Ring, an organization of sober seeking individuals. Truly listening to others without judgement so their voices can be heard.

I appreciate this question; a wonderful exploration. One way would be to use my listening abilities when someone needs an ear to process, vent, celebrate, or connect with someone. Another would be to use my writing to support, inform, entertain, celebrate others. I can use my gift of time at this point in my life to improve someone’s situation. Also, using my creativity and imagination in a myriad of ways can be helpful to others in many situations.
